Activision made major bank in 2007. They published both Guitar Hero III and Call of Duty 4, the worldwide number one and two games in sales. The Guitar Hero Air Guitar Rocker reduces the monster hit game�s axe controller to a gawdy belt buckle. Players can frantically flick and fiddle with it, all the while looking vaguely like they�re � well � you know.

Activision is pre-announcing the release of replacement Guitar Hero III discs for the Wii. No bonuses or add-ons to make up for the mistake, but at least they’re not going to charge for shipping. Call Activision at (866) 780-8286 during their lame call center hours to pre-register for a replacement disc.

New to the Playstation Store but old to Xbox LIVE members (the ones who could get online last week, anyway) is a fresh batch of downloadable content. This DLC update is light on the visuals and heavy on the listening. Prepare to be meh’d unless you’re a Rock Band or Guitar Hero III fan.
