Poy PoyEver wanted to brain someone with a rock, log, or missile without all those pesky legal consequences? Your silence says it all. Now you can, with Poy Poy for the Playstation! Actually, you’ve been able to for more than 11 years, since 1997 when Poy Poy was released. This multiplayer action game pits four contenders against each other in one of seven arenas filled with all sorts of projectiles and other hazards. The object of the game is basically to bludgeon your opponents to death. Need I say more? I will anyway.

The objects available to commence with the killing include various rocks, logs (bigger projectiles do more damage, naturally), missiles, and chunks of ice (depending on the environment). It’s great fun, and we at Engamer highly recommend it if you can get your mits on a copy. But make sure you have a couple of days to spare, because it’s really addictive. Once you become good at it, you can invite over the friends you most want to crush with a rock. In the game, I mean. In the game.

It’s the most fun you’ll have with digital rocks and sticks, and the single-player mode is fun too. Because of the basic premise, even the AI often provides formidable opponents. Did I mention you can pick opponents up and slam them on the ground or into other opponents? I highly endorse this move.

Poy Poy 2 was released in 1999 in Japan only.
